The short answer

JunkRabbit prices are flat per item, or per truck-fill tier for piles and cleanouts. The order minimum is $100. There is no stairs fee, no same-day surcharge and no sales tax line. A few anchors: sofa $126, queen mattress $103, standard fridge $164, washer $133, 1/4 truck $241, full truck $732.

The same list applies across the area, from Lakewood and Parma to Cleveland Heights, Euclid, Westlake and Strongsville. A sofa on the third floor of a Shaker Heights house costs what a sofa on a Brook Park ranch's main floor costs.

Truck-fill tiers

Truck fillFlat price
1/4 truck (~4 cubic yards)$241
3/8 truck (~6 cubic yards)$338
1/2 truck (~8 cubic yards)$431
5/8 truck (~10 cubic yards)$513
3/4 truck (~12 cubic yards)$587
7/8 truck (~14 cubic yards)$661
Full truck (~16 cubic yards)$732

Use a tier when you have a pile of mixed stuff, like a basement or garage. Use item prices when you have a few identifiable pieces. If you send a photo, the quote uses whichever applies.

For scale: the City's Ridge Road Transfer Station takes up to 4 cubic yards per resident visit, which is the same volume as a 1/4 truck. A full truck at about 16 cubic yards is four of those trips. In Cleveland terms, a 1/4 truck is a corner of a bungalow basement. A 1/2 truck is a packed one-car detached garage. A full truck is a three-floor Heights house's attic and basement together.

Mattress — Queen$103
Mattress — King / Cal King$114

Bed Frame (Standard / Metal / Platform)$68
Dresser (Standard)$126
Chest of Drawers$126
Nightstand$57
Armoire — Large / Double (Solid Wood)$197

Mattresses are where the curb rules bite hardest. The City wants them wrapped in plastic, Lakewood and Parma want them sealed, and Euclid wants them double wrapped and duct-taped. A pickup takes them as they are. A kids' room with two twin mattresses and a chest of drawers: $82 + $82 + $126 = $290.

Living and dining room

Sofa / Couch$126
Loveseat$119
Sleeper Sofa$149
Sectional Sofa (3-Piece)$185
Armchair / Accent Chair$77

Coffee Table$67
Entertainment Center / TV Stand$96
TV (42" to 65")$68
Dining Table (6-8 Seat)$163
Dining Chair$45
Cabinet / China Hutch$160
Upright Piano$364

A Shaker Square condo living room, with a sofa, two armchairs and a coffee table: $126 + $77 + $77 + $67 = $347. That's four pieces, one more than the City's monthly bulk cap and Shaker Heights' three-item limit. The upright piano in an old Cleveland Heights front parlor is $364, from whatever floor it's on.

Basement

The room that defines Cleveland junk removal. The city's median home was built in 1941, and nearly every house has a full basement.

ItemFlat price
Washer$133
Dryer$128
Water Heater (Tank)$131
Furnace$131
Dehumidifier$77
Freezer (Chest)$146
Refrigerator (Standard)$164
Cast Iron Radiator$123
Metal Shelving$71
Box of Books$45
Moving Box$31
Paint (1-Gallon Can)$30
Paint (5-Gallon Bucket)$52

Appliances must be drained of coolants and fluids before the City takes them in bulk week, which is why the dehumidifier and the chest freezer are the two most common basement calls after the spring thaw.

Snow Blower$71
Lawn Mower$65

Rolling Tool Chest / Workbench$100
Bicycle$37
Propane Grill$123
Patio Table$89
Yard Waste$88
Storage Shed (Small, Disassembled)$186
Hot Tub / Spa$390

The snow blower that finally quit in a lake-effect February, plus the set of snow tires you no longer need: $71 + $87 = $158. Euclid doesn't collect tires at the curb, and Shaker Heights excludes them from bulk.

Remodel debris

ItemFlat price
Construction Debris$120

Lumber / Wood Scrap (bundle)$41
Full Kitchen Cabinet Set (rip-out)$293
Bathtub (cast iron)$185
Toilet (Detached)$64
Bathroom Vanity$69
Carpet — Removal (per room)$71
Roofing Shingles (per bundle)$48
Concrete / Masonry Debris (per 1/4 truck)$219

City bulk week does not take construction, renovation or demolition waste, so in a city of 1920s houses mid-rehab, this table gets used a lot. A Tremont bathroom gut, with a cast-iron tub, toilet and vanity: $185 + $64 + $69 = $318. A kitchen rip-out with a bit of extra debris: $293 + $120 = $413.

How totals work

Add the items. That is the price. A Cleveland basement with a washer, dryer and chest freezer is $133 + $128 + $146 = $407. A bedroom with a queen set, frame and dresser is $143 + $68 + $126 = $337. No volume discounts, no hidden fees, and the price only changes if you approve it.

Small jobs meet the $100 minimum. A single recliner at $98 is billed at $100, so add the lamp next to it ($36) and the order is $98 + $36 = $134.

Item list or truck tier?

When the list gets long, check it against the tiers. An upstairs-double move-out with a sofa, a queen set, a dresser, a dining table for four, four dining chairs and a TV comes to $126 + $143 + $126 + $103 + $45 + $45 + $45 + $45 + $68 = $746. That's more than a full truck at $732, and that much furniture rarely fills one. So a big mixed load like this is usually quoted as a tier. A photo of each room settles it, and you see the number before you book.

The prices don't move with the calendar either. Same list in a July heat wave, in the spring-thaw basement rush and in a January lake-effect week.
